Saber Guild: Empire Temple added an event.

This weeks class will be:
Saber Staff by Jinduri

The Staff. The Bo. The first weapon.
From simple stick to martial art weapon to groundbreaking lightsaber. This class will explain a little history behind the staff as well as the use of it, including the spin, stab, strike and block.
From Sun Wukong to Darth Maul, we delve into the uses of the staff and try to better understand it as weapon, shield and tool.

We ask that in this class, respect for all is observed. You're in the room, you're here to learn not socialize. Be observant when using a staff. You're not only striking in front but also behind. Regardless of what you may already know, keep an open mind.

We are always the student.

Duration: 90min

Materials Needed:
Lightsabers, Loose Clothes Water

While attendance is free, the Chelsea Recreation Center does require a membership card. If you do not have one don't fret. We can get you on a guest list till you can obtain one.

FAQ:
How old do I have to be to attend class?
Because this is a combat based class attendees must be 18 years or older to attend on their own. Anyone between the ages of 13-17 may participate in class but MUST have a parent or guardian present throughout the time of rehearsal. Children under the age of 13 may attend as spectators but must remain outside of the practice space with their parent or guardian at all times.

I Have Never Done This Before–Is That OK?
It does not matter if you are new to lightsabers or have been rehearsing for years. Come to a class, have a great time and work up a sweat.

What Do I Need to Bring?
You need to bring the most important thing–YOU! It’s also a good idea to bring workout clothes (sweatpants and a T-shirt are just perfect) and comfortable shoes. You don’t need a lightsaber to start off–there are always extra to go around. However, if you plan on coming frequently we can help you find one that is just right for you. IMPORTANT: No toy lightsabers - combat sabers only. These things are cool and look great but they will break once you get going.

Saber Guild: Empire Temple added an event.

In this week's class, its review time!

We've learned a lot over the past few weeks and its time to take a look back over the points that had us all wanting more! Plenty of fun and time to put some work into those fights!

While attendance is free, we ask that all participants make a donation of $5 to help pay for the rehearsal space.
